Model Joan Smalls has been tapped by denim brand True Religion to design
her first collection. The upcoming 16-piece range includes high-rise
skinny jeans, workout crop tops and other everyday basics, according to Vogue.

“Your butt has to look good,” Smalls told Vogue about the pants in her collection. “If it doesn’t, they’re not working!”
The 26-year-old model is a friend to talented designers including Riccardo Tisci and Olivier Rousteing, so it’s no shock that designing came quite naturally to Smalls. “I’ve always kept my mind open as to how women dress,” she told Vogue.
